A Midsummer-Night's Dream
(eBook)
Shakespeare's classic tale of moonlight, lovers, mistaken identities and mischief, results in most of the characters believing the entire adventure must have been a dream. In the final scene, Puck invites the audience to do the same:
"If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumber'd here,
While these visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding than a dream..."
